The Goalpha Intern Mentorship Program has been a great platform for young people to gain practical experience in their fields of interest, and the law team is no exception. As the coordinator of the team, my role was to lead and guide my interns throughout the five-day session.

The team was made up of five interns – Grace Elorm Afi Mensah, Priscilla Yankah Bomah, Janice Amihere, Adeline Ama Larbea Agyekum, and Lailatu Osman. Our sessions were held at three different locations over the week. Monday and Wednesday were spent at the Law Court Complex in Accra, Tuesday at Adenta High Court, and Thursday and Friday at AB and David.

The week was a phenomenal experience for all of us. We had the opportunity to learn from Elijah Bonsu Turkson esq. on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and Miss Janet Opoku esq. on Thursday and Friday at AB and David. The sessions opened the interns’ minds to basic concepts about law and gave them an idea of whether to pursue law or not.

As the coordinator, I served as a bridge between my interns and the authorities, ensuring that everything ran smoothly throughout the week. It was a great experience working with the interns, and I believe they have gained valuable knowledge and skills that will serve them well in their future endeavors.

The Goalpha Intern Mentorship Program has provided a great opportunity for young people to learn from professionals in their fields of interest. It is a great initiative that I hope will continue to provide opportunities for more young people in the future.

Michael, Coordinator for Law Interns reports on his experience.
